NEW SHOW: THE LEISURE SOCIETY AT TRAFALGAR STUDIOS

Next year, international model Agyness Deyn will make her acting and stage debut in Francois Archambault's comedy The Leisure Society. The show will open at the Trafalgar Studios 2 on 1 March 2012 with previews from 28 February 2012.

Owain Arthur is to play Francis Henshall in Nicholas Hytner’s five star award-winning production of One Man, Two Guvnors will transfer to the Theatre Royal Haymarket after two sell-out record-breaking runs at the National and Adelphi Theatres.  Booking for performances at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, 2 March to 15 September 2012, will open on 16 December 2011.

After her triumphant debut as Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion earlier this year at the Garrick, Kara Tointon will be back in the West End from 26th January in Absent Friends at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Screenwriter and author Julian Fellowes is teaming up with composer George Stiles and lyricist Anthony Drews to collaborate on a new stage musical for the West End of the beloved classic The Wind In The Willows written by Kenneth Grahame.


CAST CHANGES FOR THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AT HER MAJESTY’S THEATRE

Major cast changes will take place in the smash hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical The Phantom Of The Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre. From Monday 12 December 2011 Earl Carpenter will return to the role of ‘The Phantom’, and from Monday 19 March Peter Jöback will star as ‘The Phantom’. From Monday 16 January Katy Treharne will also join the company as ‘Christine’ at certain performances.


THE LADY KILLERS AT THE GIELGUD THEATRE REVIEWS

The Ladykillers is a classic Ealing comedy from 1955 adapted by Graham Linehan of Father Ted and IT Crowd fame for a stage production now showing in the West End at The Gielgud Theatre.  Comedians Rob Brydon and Peter Serafinowicz were in the audience for the show's opening night at the Gielgud Theatre.


JEREMY HERRIN TO DIRECT ABSENT FRIENDS AT HAROLD PINTER THEATRE

Jeremy Herrin will direct David Armand, Elizabeth Berrington, Katherine Parkinson, Steffan Rhodri, Reece Shearsmith and Kara Tointon in Alan Ayckbourn’s classic comedy of manners and social embarrassment Absent Friends, previewing at the Harold Pinter Theatre (formerly the Comedy Theatre) from 26 January 2012.  With press night on 9 February Absent Friends, produced in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions and Bob Bartner, is currently booking until 14 April. 


EVE BEST RETURNS TO WEST END IN THE DUCHESS OF MALFI

Currently a hit on the other side of the pond in US dark comedy tv show Nurse Jackie, Eve Best is back treading the boards next year at The Old Vic Theatre in the John Webster play The Duchess of Malfi.  The production previews from 17th March with Press Night on 28th March and will run until 8th June.


THE AWKWARD SQUAD AT THE ARTS FOR LIMITED SEASON

TV stars are taking to the stage at the Arts Theatre as part of a UK tour of the play The Awkward Squad.  Playing in the West End for a limited run from 6th March to 7th April with Press Night on 8th March.

Mark Benton has joined the London cast of The Railway Children to play Perks for the final six weeks of Damian Cruden’s Olivier award-winning production at Waterloo Station.  The last ever London performance in the specially created 1000 seat space in the old Eurostar Terminal at Waterloo Station will be on 8 January 2012 as previously announced.

THE MOUSETRAP CELEBRATES 60 YEARS

Next year, 2012, will mark the start of the year long celebrations for The Mousetrap's 60th year in production, it's diamond jubilee! There will be a series of "60" themed plans which will include its first ever UK tour starting in September 2012.
